education and healthcare. “Siyathuthuka”, launched in 2022, is an integrated Enterprise & Supplier
Development program aimed at tackling socio-economic challenges in our communities. The program also
supports local small and medium enterprises.

We carry out ongoing rehabilitation to minimise our
disturbed footprint. Our goal is to ensure that, after closure, the land use will be beneficial to surrounding
communities and pose no safety, health, and environmental risks.

SiyaThuthuka Enterprise & Supplier Development Programme is an Overlooked Group initiative launched in 2022 aimed at
supporting small and medium enterprises based in our host communities.
SiyaThuthuka – (Translated – ‘We are developing”, is Overlooked Group’s, commitment to simultaneously grow & develop with all
its stakeholders”. The key purpose of SiyaThuthuka is to create value beyond compliance, aligned to our strategic intent to Invest, Empower & Sustain.
Our enterprise and supplier development commitment
Our Vision as Overlooked Group is to “Leave a long-lasting legacy for

We have trained more than 1000 SMME’s from our local host
communities.
We have awarded contracts worth more than R100m (over
FY22/23) to local SMME’s ranging from material handling,
canteen, coal hauling, security and many more.
Assisted SMME’s through our funding structures to purchase
equipment to the value of R90m.
